Freight boss Arthur Tzaneros wants $50-$55m for Vaucluse home he paid $32m for last year

The phone’s running hot on freight boss Arthur Tzaneros’s Vaucluse mansion, despite $50m-$55m hopes for the home he paid $32m for last year.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence at 26-27 Olola Ave comes with a heated pool, tennis court, six-car garage, has northerly harbour views and is on 2266 sqm of land.

Although Tzaneros settled on the huge estate last June, he exchanged a year earlier, so the $32m was a reflection of prices two years ago.

“Top-end prices have risen considerably in that time and the phone’s been running off the hook … we’re expecting offers soon,” says the Raine and Horne Double Bay sales agent Alex Lyons, who negotiated $100m in sales over May.

The Olola Ave home features a five-person lift; five luxury bedroom suites and an upper-level for casual entertaining. There’s even a combined tennis and basketball terrace.

Tzaneros and his wife, Maude, loved the Olola Ave home but evidently couldn’t resist an award-winning Bellevue Hill mansion owned by flowers wholesaler Leo Lynch, which they bought via Lyons and Pillinger’s Brad Pillinger for $61.5m last month.

Lynch is also upgrading, having bought the historic Federation estate Leura in Bellevue Hill for about $70m, more than double what it last sold for eight years ago, through Pillinger.

Tzaneros is the Australian Container Freight Services Port Logistics CEO.

The extended family owns more than $100m worth of property in the east, including a Michael Suttor-designed Bellevue Hill apartment bought for $6.3m in 2021 (Arthur and Maude); a waterfront mansion in Wingadal Pl, Point Piper bought for $38m in 2021 (parents Terry and Anne); a Boronia Rd, Bellevue Hill home for $7.45m the same year (brother Anthony and wife Poppy); and a Balfour Rd, Bellevue Hill for $12.25m last year (brother Michael and wife Steffanie).
